Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you, process your payment information, arrange for shipping, provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen orders for potential risk or fraud, and, when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

Minors

The site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below to request deletion.

Sharing Personal Information

We share your personal information with service providers to help us provide our services and fulfill our contracts with you, as described above. We may share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request for information we receive, or otherwise protect our rights.

Sharing with CAA Québec

For eligible purchases, by accepting this privacy policy, you consent to us securely transferring certain personal information to CAA Québec, for the purpose of allowing you to obtain the CAA GO card. This information may include your name, email address, and details of your eligible purchase. CAA Québec processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy.

If you do not wish for your information to be transferred to CAA Québec, please contact us before your purchase to let us know. We will then not proceed with any transfer of your personal information to CAA Québec.

Behavioural Advertising

As described above, we use your personal information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For example: we use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the site. Use of Personal Information

We use your personal information to provide our services, including: selling products, processing payments, shipping and fulfilling your order, and keeping you updated on new products, services, and offers.

Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including:

  • Order information: retained for 7 years for accounting and tax purposes, in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Customer account information: retained while your account remains active, or until you request its deletion.
  • Customer support information: retained for 2 years following the resolution of your request.

At the end of these periods, your personal information is securely destroyed, anonymized, or de-identified.

Automated Decision-Making

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the right to object to processing based solely on automated decision-making (including profiling), which has a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

We do not engage in fully automated decision-making that has a legal or otherwise significant effect on customers using customer data.

Our processor Shopify uses limited automated decision-making to prevent fraud that does not have a legal or otherwise significant effect on you.

  • Right of rectification: you may request the correction of information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous.
  • Right to withdraw consent: you may withdraw your consent to the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to reasonable legal or contractual restrictions.
  • Right to data portability: you may request that your computerized personal information be provided to you in a structured, commonly used technological format, or transferred directly to another organization, where technically feasible.
  • Right to erasure: you may request the deletion of your personal information, subject to any applicable legal retention obligations.
